And get that mean ol' needle away from me!
Oh, hi friends. Thanks for your good wishes. Mama said to tell you I've been eating a little better since last night, and that I want my greens and carrots. Actually, I will only eat turnip greens at the moment, but at least it's a green.
The injections are no fun at all! I hate them, and this morning I really kicked up a fuss so Mama only got half the fluid into my body. I drank some water from a syringe though. Not much, but some, and that's better than before.
Okay, I'm gonna go wash the icky goo off my chin from a forcefeeding session. Hrmph.
Mama prays that I get better.
I'm a-prayin' that those needles will get shorter!

Simone - We saw you were feeling poorly from the Cat Blogosphere, and dropped in give you some healing kittie purrrss. We don't have much experience with bins, but purrrss gotta help a little, anyway.
Mama, if Simone is going to be taking Baytril much longer, you may want to talk to your V*T about putting it on his ears. You'll probably have to get that concoction mixed at a compounding pharmacy, but it might save pushing a pill down a reluctant bunny throat. The Food Source did that once with medication that Luna needed to take long term but really, really, really didn't like.

We're crossing our paws for you from our little warren. Our Momma told us to tell you that our vet puts flavors in our medicines like Baytril with banana or boysenberry. We sometimes steal the bottles from Momma's hands because they taste really good!

Oh Simone, we hope you start feeling better very soon. Please take your medicine and let your Mom give you those shots. That is what your beautiful little body needs right now. It is good that you can eat something and that you are drinking water.

Give it your best Simone ... and best of wishes to the caretaker ... it is a hard thing to watch and try everything and hope and worry about what you might have done different. Hopefully that Baytril and plenty of hydration and hay will help much! We always give our bunnys fresh pineapple juice (made from a fresh pineapple we keep in cubes in the freezer) from a syringe when they show any sign of tummy distress.

Belle and Cornelius send nose rubs to Simone. "The Feeder" noticed a few other bun owners suggested flavored Baytril - that does help, Belle has been on it for a month now (she has it on top of a small piece of banana) and she won't touch the banana now without it! We went through head tilt (but from e.cuniculi) with Ferd - who is now in bunny heaven - but it is v.v. treatable so hang in there. My vet was wonderful in providing tips and binkybunny.com has lots of info too.
